A Resolution Waiving the Bidding Requirements and Accepting the Proposal from Metropolitan Industries for the Upgrade and Modernization of Two Sewage Lift Stations

Whereas, pursuant to the provisions of 65 ILCS 5/8-9-1 and the provisions of the Village Ordinance No. 2793-00, the Village of Romeoville may vote by 2/3 of its Trustees then holding office to waive the requirements for public bidding on Village public work, or improvement projects; and,
Whereas, the expenditures for the lift station upgrades will be expensed from account 60.08.24.408 in the FY 24/25 Budget in the amount of $49,897.00 for both stations; and,
Whereas, Metropolitan Industries has provided a proposal to install a new operator interface screen and new PLC with the most current and standardized operating program. Each station will receive an thorough electrical overhaul and a key component will be the incorporation of inflow and infiltration flow monitoring features; and,
Whereas, the upgrades will occur at the Fieldstone lift station and Weber Road (Target/Ovation Center) Lift Station.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES FOR THE VILLAGE OF ROMEOVILLE, WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: Incorporation of Recitals: The foregoing recitals are hereby incorporated into this Resolution as if fully set forth herein.
Section 2: Waiver of Public Bid Requirements: Pursuant to the provisions of 65 ILCS 5/8-9-1 and the provisions of the Village Ordinance No. 2793-00 the Village hereby waives the public bidding requirements otherwise applicable to the upgrade and modernization of two sewage lift stations.
Section 3: Repealer: All other Ordinances or parts of ordinances of the Village of Romeoville that are inconsistent with this ordinance are hereby expressly repealed.
