A Resolution Authorizing to Incorporate LED Street Name Signs and EVP Equipment into the Illinois Department of Transportation's Route 53 and Renwick Road Intersection Project

Whereas, the Village of Romeoville ("The Village") is a municipality in accordance with the Constitution of the State of Illinois of 1970; and,
Whereas, IDOT has agreed to install LED-illuminated street name signs and Emergency Vehicle Preemption Equipment at the Village's request as part of their Route 53 and Renwick Road Intersection Improvement Project; and,
Whereas, IDOT has estimated the cost to be $20,000 for the installation of the signs and $9,000 for the installation of the preemption equipment plus 15% engineering fees, for an estimated total cost of $33,350, with the actual costs to be determined at such time that IDOT conducts their bid letting this spring.
Whereas, funding for this work is currently available in the current fiscal year budget; and,
Whereas, IDOT has submitted an intergovernmental agreement to be executed by the Village memorializing the Village's request to have this work performed and committing to the payment for such work.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES FOR THE VILLAGE OF ROMEOVILLE, WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: Incorporation of Recitals: The foregoing recitals are hereby incorporated into this Resolution as if fully set forth herein.
Section 2: Adjustment of Contract: The Village of Romeoville approves the agreement with IDOT to incorporate LED-illuminated street name signs and emergency vehicle preemption equipment into IDOT's Route 53 and Renwick Road Intersection Improvement Project and approves funding up to the estimated amount of $33,350, with actual costs to be determined upon IDOT's conducting of their bid letting and construction of the work.
Section 3: Repealer: All other Ordinances or parts of ordinances of the Village of Romeoville that are inconsistent with this or...
