A Resolution to Approve the Extension of the Concrete Repair Program with Builders Concrete

Whereas, the Village of Romeoville (“The Village”) is a municipality in accordance with the Constitution of the State of Illinois of 1970; and,
Whereas, a provision in the contract for the 2023 Concrete Repair Program provides for a one-year extension of the contract with a 3% increase to the contract unit prices upon acceptance of the extension by both the Contractor and the Village; and,
Whereas, the Contractor, Builders Concrete LLC, has accepted the one-year extension of the contract, and the allocated amount for this fiscal year’s program of $505,200 is included in this fiscal year’s budget and up to an additional $120,000 of expenses toward the ADA Concrete Replacements for Zone 3 as budgeted; and,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES FOR THE VILLAGE OF ROMEOVILLE, WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: Incorporation of Recitals: The foregoing recitals are hereby incorporated into this Resolution as if fully set forth herein.
Section 2: Awarding of Contract: The Village of Romeoville approves the one-year extension of the contract of the 2023 Concrete Repair Program.
Section 3: Repealer: All other Ordinances or parts of ordinances of the Village of Romeoville that are inconsistent with this ordinance are hereby expressly repealed.
Section 4: Severability: In the event any word, phrase, clause, sentence, paragraph, provision, or section of this Resolution or any portion thereof shall be held to be unconstitutional, unenforceable, or void, the same shall not affect the validity or enforceability of any remaining words, phrases, clauses, sentences, paragraphs, or sections thereof.
Section 5: Effective Date: The resolution shall take effect after its passage, approval, and publication in pamphlet form, as provided by law.
